Big Girl
It appears we can stop stocking up on diapers. Go, Teagan, who celebrated this milestone with a celebratory trip down the target toy aisle.

When silence falls over a house with kids, it usually means trouble, but today it meant two sisters quietly reading a book together in bed. I'll take it.
Cold Winter's Day
Not quite. While the drought is unquestionably bad, it has allowed for some very pleasant weekend January weather. We are trying to balance the trips to the ice cream store with discussions about water conservation.
The First Resignation Letter
Mia wrote this letter and I love it so, it must be preserved on the blog so she can see it when she is older (assuming paper files don't last...). I have been finding gems like this all over the house. I treasure her honesty and commitment to the written word.

Belated Post- Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
A crazy trip to Florida, marked by the absence of David. We kept our chin up, Papi in our thoughts, and noted the importance of family. We are now back at home, recuperating from the germs we received on our flight back home. Warm wishes to everybody.
