Florida Fun Days

We managed to cram in quite a bit during our Thanksgiving week in Florida.  In addition to a couple of beach visits (despite chilly temperatures), other highlights included Mia's first race, Teagan's first trip to DisneyWorld, and more hours logged with aunts, uncles and cousins than we could have hoped for.  The girls are already planning their next trip back.  For now, we have these photos for memories:

Hand In Hand

Lunch with the Corey Cousins makes for cute photo opps!

Special Friends Day

Friday was the much-cherished Grandparents and Special Friends Day at Mia's school. She was thrilled to have certain visitors from San Diego to share this very sweet day with. Thanks for coming, Grammy and Papi!

Wanted: Toddler Shoplifter

She may be cute and bedazzling in her sequined hat, but Teagan's naughty streak almost got the best of her when she tried to take off with a Hello Kitty brush at H&M.

Fairyland Fun

A day off from school is the perfect excuse to head with friends to Children's Fairyland. And eat ice cream on a giant dragon.

Bobbing for Lollipops

Turns out the lure of a lollipop makes for a great motivator for small children in need of a haircut.

Party People

On this weekend's birthday party circuit...

Walk & Roll; Rock & Roll

Mia's school has a "walk and roll" event each month to get us all out of our cars and on our feet and bikes. Here are Mia and some of her buddies getting green. Later that day, Teagan and her buddies played in a fountain and the little one threatened to leave home and join a rock band.

Making Her Mark

Mia joined me at the polls today. She even helped bubble in my vote for a local proposition. Let freedom ring!

Head Case

Teagan may not be eligible yet, but if she were, she would be casting a vote tomorrow strongly in favor of putting things on one's head.

Another SF Cousin

Her residence in San Francisco is temporary, but my cousin, Meghan, moved here this weekend and the girls couldn't be more excited. Yoda, too.

Meet Jacob

Mia found this little guy in the rock area behind our garage. We did some research and "Jacob" is now the newest member of our family, along with the dozen or so live crickets joining him in his new (abandoned fish bowl) habitat. He prompted Mia to write a "Science and Animals" book, a very full journal containing about fifty entries. "About Deer. I don't know what deer eat but they run pretty fast." Indeed they do.
