Afternoon Playtime

Oh, the ways in which we amuse ourselves in the afternoon...

Can I interest you in a little toothbrushing?

How about some knocking?

Or, maybe we just stare at Mom and wonder why she thinks these moments are camera-worthy?

Bees Are For Buzzing

Been awhile since we had a clip on here, so I got out the camera during lunch.

Now She Means Business

Mia isn't messing around -- as evidenced by her new pair of serious, big girl shoes. For added emphasis, the ladybug lovelies squeak when she walks.

Father's Day is Hairraising

Mia is sporting a new hairdo for Father's Day, courtesy of a winter hat she was forced to wear to combat the wind and cold during a walk.

Here she is so very excited to see us after she stirs from her nap:

Thankfully, a smile emerged once she realized we came in peace:

Otter, as usual, accepted the foggy SF weather in his own unique style:

Heat Wave

Well, the temperatures here are not exactly record breaking, but they are toasty nonetheless to people accustomed to bundling up even in the middle of August. Mia dressed accordingly.

Happy Ten Months!

I tried out a barrette on Mia's hair -- not that she needs it, but she actually has enough to clip!

Meerkats, Goats & Penguins, Oh My!

We had a family day at the zoo yesterday, enjoying the sunshine and the animals.

Little Bear

Mia had the last session of her Spring music class (called Little Bears) today and, in the spirit of procrastination, I brought along the camera to capture the kids. Here are some photos. To think it wasn't that long ago when music class consisted of her laying on a blanket looking up at me while I waved some maracas overhead!

Afterwards, we strolled over to the park and had a picnic with a few playgroup friends. Here are some pictures from there.

Fashion Forward ... and Backward

Here is Mia sporting a summer look -- a bright and cheery gift from Aunt Chris. Note the very hip sleeves. The sad face in the second picture comes courtesy of me taking away her keys.

Here she is, minutes later, sporting a (sort of) wintry look. This was David's winter hat, which fell victim to the dryer and shrunk to a miniature size. Mia wore it around the house today, briefly looking back to colder times. As a side note, does this picture not make it hard to believe that our daughter is petite? Those cheeks and legs, sweet things that they are, beg to differ.
