One Sick Birthday
Poor Mia spent the week leading up to her seventh birthday in an ambulance, an ER, the pediatrician's, the x-ray lab, and on the couch resting her way back to health after a nasty bout of pneumonia. One cancelled birthday party later, she finally woke up without a fever and well enough to get a haircut, some dim sum, and cake.
For the record, Mia at seven is an enthusiastic and almost always happy girl who is obsessed with reading (she often walks, nose in book), American Girl, and her cat. Her bffs are Kaitlin, Avery, and Mia. She loves dancing, acting, writing, swimming, and snuggling. We are so lucky to have her as our daughter!!
