A New Era

Ever since we moved to the new place, Mia has slept in a big girl bed. For the most part, it has been shockingly successful. She loves her bed and even when she wakes before us, she'll remain where she should, reading books or chatting to her million stuffed animals who join her in slumber. The only wrinkle has been when she has a particularly restless night, at which point her limbs begin to stray overboard and I begin to worry she'll end up on the floor -- although judging from these pictures, it is only me who is losing sleep over this issue.

Boogie Days

Mia can't get enough of getting down with her favorite dance partner.

Lunch (Cheese, Of Course) is Served

Mia loves her new kitchen from Grandparents Glasgow and it comes in handy each day as I get her meals ready. She is much too busy for sitting at a high chair these days, but is cooperative enough to eat at her Mia-sized table and chairs with her favorite porcine buddy. Here are a few more of our girl hamming it up.

Paradise

Paradise Beach Park, that is. Throwing rocks and building sand castles this morning -- and singing Happy Birthday, since Mia thinks my castles looked like cakes.

Don't Disturb the Artist

After several disinterested attempts, Mia has embraced the painting room at the Discovery Museum. I hope the Guggenheim is clearing out an exhibit room for her.

Like a Diamond in the Sky

Mia turned two today! She had her well child visit with Dr. Goldstein earlier in the week. No tears during her shot, brave one that she is. She is thirty-five inches high and twenty-seven pounds, six ounces (75%, 50%).

We've had a great week settling into the new house with the help of Grandma and Pap-Pap Glasgow, who came with Alexis. Mia loves her older cousin dearly and Alexis is wonderful with her. We spent time at Tilden Park, at the Friday Night Tiburon street party, and the Discovery Museum. The weather has been spectacular.

The big birthday was celebrated with a small barbecue (Grammy and Papi Corey came to visit, too!) and lots of Elmo and dancing.

Singing has also played a big part in the last week. Here is Mia singing a classic.

Home Sweet Home

The walking trail at the new house. Otter is a big fan. I'm finding it pretty nice, too.

Here are some more photos of soccer.
