The Corey Christmas Spectacular

Christmas came with much excitement this year, with a very enthusiastic five year old leading the charge. Among the favorite gifts were an Easy Bake Oven (Mia), a pink guitar (Teagan), a mini bouncy house, a panda sweatshirt (Mia, from Grammy and Papi), a fancy knife (David), and a Wii (from Grandma and Pap-Pap). A gourmet feast prepared by our resident chef, David, was enjoyed by friends and family, including Grandma, Kelly. A happy holiday indeed.

Christmas Eve Cuddles

A few playgroup families celebrated Christmas Eve with a delicious Spanish meal. While the adults lingered at the dinner table, the kiddos snuggled in for a movie in their pjs.

Brunch Fit for a Superhero

This is what supergirls wear to enjoy a Christmas Eve meal.

Mascot

Teagan is the unofficial mascot of the Marin Primary kindergarten class. All the kids know her and love showering her with attention when we are dropping off or picking up Mia. Here she is getting some school spirit.

Yummy: a Photo Exhibition

Almost any food is yummy to Teagan - and I know this because she exclaims "yummy!" after every bite. Pizza and ice cream are no exception.

Nutcracker Encore

The playgroup celebrated the Nutcracker for the third time this weekend. Lily and Mia had an exceedingly difficult time not chatting about every moment, but the whispered commentary was so adorable ("Clara turned into a real ballerina!! No, she's just dreaming!! The ribbon girls are my favorite thing in the whole world!"), it was hard to shush them entirely. On a weekend filled with so much heartache, it was an afternoon that served as a happy reminder that pure innocence and joy still exist. Love these kids.

Christmas Cousins

The Corey Four connected over a gift exchange and dim sum. Pork buns and presents- an unbeatable combo.

Bad Santa

Santa was actually pretty good, but Teagan didn't agree.

BFFs

Otter loves his (animatronic) furry feline bed buddy.

Book Break

When the room is full of the mess of a hard-played day, grab a book, relax, and read.

Hip Hop Show

Mia and her hip hop class gave a demonstration to parents yesterday. She won major points for enthusiasm, smiling big throughout her performance. Little Sis loved being front and center in the audience.

Cheery for Holiday Cheer

Playgroup buddy, Lily, hosted a Sunday get-together this morning at her new house in the 'burbs.  The kids loved making Hanukkah cookies and decorating gingerbread houses, in addition to dancing to that well-worn holiday classic, "Call Me Maybe."  Teagan thought the older girls' gingerbread house could use a tad more sprinkles.

Weekly Post

Blogger annoyingly doesn't let me post from my phone anymore, which has caused a sudden decrease in my blogging. Until I figure that out, here are some pics from our week. Happy Hanukkah, the holiday so nice we celebrated the first day twice!
